How I did it: Once I finally received my income tax return, I was able to get a car to replace the one that was stolen over a year ago. I also had enough left over to drive down to SoCal and visit my mom and brother in Yucaipa, as well as my cousin and her family! Her little 3-year-old girl is just the cutest thing, very outgoing, and her husband seemed like a great match for her. She and I spent the morning and early afternoon with the kid, went to breakfast and then had fun at the house, and later on she and I went to the beach, walked the pier, and caught up on each other's lives. It turned out we had a decent amount in common. :)
