How I did it: it just took time! it's like the tide, ebbs and flows. i had to get into a better space of giving myself time to be okay with NOT doing art before i could get back to doing it.
i also had to clean my desk off! that helped loads!!
Lessons & tips: art is such a funny thing. if you're an artist, you know this. i used to have this idea of what a "real" artist was. i have finally learned that it is different for everyone and that i can't be just like some other person or define myself by anyone else's experiences but my own. it's personal.

I have come across the same mental/emotional obstacles although in a different medium. Your advice is excellent, not only because it is true, but because it is applicable across media and therefore to any creative person. I will bear it in mind in future and will take heart. Thank you!
