How to get to level 80 in world of warcraft

How I did it: I played off and on since the game came off, and have had well over 100 characters. I get to around level 40 and abandon them, I have deleted at least 50 characters at least level 30. Anyway, after wrath of the lich king came out I never got up the spirit to focus on one character to get to 80. Now, I took my first character I ever made, my favorite and just did it.
