How I did it: I've been thinking about adopting for a long time and now that we're settled into our new house we're finally in a place where we can get another cat. So we went to the SPCA to look at the kittens and Frankie was the first we saw. He started crawling all over Steve, up and around his neck, and I could see that Steve fell in love with him right away. He was super playful and liked to cuddle so he was a perfect fit! Now him and Jack, one of our other cats (we have 3 now), run around and play all day.

There are too many abandoned pets to go out and buy a “designer” one.I have two wonderful cats one was a stray I adopted, Mikey, and the other is my son’s cat, Ozzy, I adopted him when my son died. Funny, how it seems like there is a part of my son that remains with Oz!
I would like to adopt a dog, but I think I am going to have to wait until I retire!!
BTW, good advice on letting the cat pick you!
