How I did it: I saved spare pennies whenever I got them and in batches of five I stuck "good luck" messages on them and dropped them (usually one or two per trip). I did it in batches of five (after the first three) so that I could keep count of how many I'd dropped.
Lessons & tips: Make sure you have some way of keeping count! And you probably won't get much out of the experience if you rush through it all in a day...
