How to whiten my teeth
How I did it: I did a one hour Zoom! laser whitening. It takes 3 rounds of 15 minutes a piece with a supposedly cool laser. They warn you about potential 'sensitivity'. The word sensitivity is completely inadequate to describe the pain that can potentially occur. I could barely get through the 15 minute rounds. Your teeth become increasingly painful throughout. I was on the verge of stopping early. First a few caveats;
1. I do not suffer from sensitive teeth
2. I've used home whitening strips before and never felt any sensitivity.
3. I'm not a wuss who can't handle pain.
4. Friends of mine who've done this report the same results.
The resulting whiteness was impressive but it didn't last as long as when I've done whitening strips in the past. I followed the instructions about staying away from coffee, tea and dark drinks and foods for a week.
Lessons & tips: Do the at home whitening with strips or trays but know that Zoom or other lasers can be very painful. The pain will continue all day long by the way.
