"Eel is something you can eat."
How I did it: Today I ate eel for the first time. I went to a restaurant, waited to be seated and took a deep breath. I knew it was something I wanted to try.
It was cheap, so there was no harm in trying.
I had moral support from the love of my life.
It went down well with the rest the Japanese feast.
Satisfied after a yummy meal of Japanese food we walked home (my partner and I, not the eel & I).
Lessons & tips: Just do it.
Don't be scared.
Take a friend or someone who can make comments like 'eewwwwww I can't believe you ate that'!
Just to make you laugh.
Resources: The local Japanese restaurant,
the menu, (must include some eel recipes)
& a loved one, family member or friend or all of them together.
I found this picture on the internet and in no way resembles the creature that was actually consumed tonight.
