How to buy a scooter
How I did it: I've been looking for a scooter on Craigslist for the past few months. I never got seriously into it until a few weeks ago. My coworker had a scooter that he let me borrow but I never really took to it because I didn't want to break it or anything.
I started seriously looking and my coworker helped me. He sent me a lot of postings. A scooter that I really wanted, the guy who posted never got back to me. I kept emailing him but no luck.
He sent me a posting that looked promising so he emailed the guy then gave his contact information to me. I drove from Rockville to Ashburn VA to pick it up. 75 miles round trip but it was worth it!
Lessons & tips: Look on Craigslist but make sure it's not too far away. I probably wouldn't have made the trip if I knew there were toll roads and a pretty long drive.
