How to listen to more 80's music
How I did it: Being around in the 80s certainly was a great way to start. And losing interest in all popular culture in the 1990s had a lot to do with it as well. After I gave birth to my daughter in 1991, the rest of that decade was dominated by Barney, Power Rangers and the Disney flicks she liked. At one point, I could recite every line in "Aladdin" because we played it so much. Fortunately, she outgrew Disney before "High School Musical" came along!
Lessons & tips: If you want to hear 80s music, go shopping! Ever notice how businesses never play anything recorded after 1990? Even my 18-year-old daughter says today's music sucks. She loves 60s & 70s heavy metal, like The Doors, Jimi Hendrix & Ozzy Osbourne. Back in my day, kids never listened to songs that were big when their parents were in school (not voluntarily, anyways!) This must be a sign of the apocalypse! The end is near -
