How I did it: we cut our income in half his pay towards bills, etc.... my pay toward debt.  pretty simple actually just hard to follow because we are so used to our extras but hey 6 months later  we can have our extras and now we have peace of mind. 

Lessons & tips: don't cheat and you really don't need those shoes you want those shoes.
