How to write my wedding vows
How I did it: D and I finished our vows at 2AM, the night before the wedding. We sat together, but did not tell each other what we were writing. A couple of our witnesses commented that the vows fit together very well, as if we had each known what the other was going to say.
D came up with an interesting way of saying them - Our officiant (my brother-in-law) each asked us a series of questions to which we answered "Yes" for each one, and then the last question was longer, and the answer was "I do", after which we exchanged rings. It worked out very well for us.
We each got a couple of laughs, and still had room for the important, serious parts. Somewhere, someone has a video of the whole thing!
Lessons & tips: My only suggestion would be to write what comes from your heart. Only you and your partner know what you value most, and how you experience love.
Resources: I didn't really have any resources.
