How to change my style
How I did it: The first thing I did was be more honest about how I looked. I also realized it was truly about quality and not quantity. I had a bunch of stuff but half of it I didnt wear because I looked horrible in it or it wasnt wearer friendly, so I began to eliminate these pieces in my wardrobe and invest in more quality pieces. They were often more expensive, so I had less, but they are long lasting items that I know I look good in. I also started buying nice costume jewerly that I could alternate between wearing my real gold jewerly which can look dated in certain situations because of my age.
In January I cut my hair. I just cut it all off and decided to have a more sophisticated and funky look. Since then I have also colored it, added highlights and for the first time in my life, started to wear wigs just for a different ook.
I feel more confident. I feel more attractive and more willing to express myself through my new found love for accessories, costume jewerly and finer things.
Lessons & tips: Never pay full price. Quality clothing does not have to be expensive. Hit the outlets, use coupons and always always hit the clearance rack.
For women...accessories are a fun/sexy/exciting way to express yourself and to start a conversation.
Never trade comfort for fashion. Buying 4 inch heels that you cant walk in is just stupid.
