How to learn Latin
How I did it: Took a year of Latin in college. I'm by no means "proficient" but even taking a year of it and learning the declensions and conjugations and some basic vocabulary is surprisingly helpful in so many other areas.
Lessons & tips: Try translating "real" ancient Latin, not just the made-up sentences in textbooks. It's good practice and introduces you to the way classical Latin is truly constructed.
