How to wake up when my alarm clock goes off
How I did it: What it finally took for me was a serious alarm clock. I bought a Sonic Alert alarm clock. Technically, it's for the hearing-impaired. The alarm is super loud (allegedly 100+ decibels, which is louder than a jackhammer; I doubt it's that loud, but it's pretty noisy and hard to ignore). The tone can be adjusted to higher and lower pitches, and the face is very bright. Also, it has a "bed shaker". Yes, it has a disc that goes under your mattress (or for me, inside the pillow) and attaches by a very long cord to the alarm clock that shakes the bed (meant for the deaf, I believe, but works for me). It's completely insane that this is what it took to start getting me to wake up with the alarm clock, but there it is...
