How to pass the CPA exam
How I did it: I passed audit and regulation in the same cycle on the first try. Then came the beasts for me bec and far. Those two exams were a challenge to pass. It took me 3 tries each while working in public accounting to pass. Ive had a weight on my shoulder for 1 1/2 years. Even when I wasnt studying, the burden of the exam was just always with me. I gave up a lot of social events, broke up with a boyfriend, even missed celebrating my own birthday to study. At the end of the day, I wouldnt change a thing, trust me when I say, its so worth it. Never feel bad for yourself. After failing, I picked myself up and kept going. I did it because when I started the exam process I made a commitment to do this, and I wasnt about to give up on myself.
Lessons & tips: I was not able to pass either exam until I figured out the best test taking strategy for myself. My advice is develop a plan so you never run out of time. Map out exactly how long its going to take your per section, and stick with it +-5 minutes. Know the practice sims inside out, if you dont, you may lose big point. Know and practice how to write a great communication statement that will get you points even if you dont know what they are asking. Figure out how to approach the research question so that you can easily find the answer 90% of the time. If you need any help doing this, feel free to ask me.

Thats how I feel too…the burden is always there even when you are doing something else. The rediculous 18 month window doesnt ease that. I cant wait to be done!
