How to go to Paris

"i went to paris in summer of 2004 with a friend. we'd saved up to go backpacking in europe and paris was our 2nd destination after arriving in london."
How I did it: my friend and i saved a lot of money for the whole experience. we bought our tickets through the STA (student travel) at our college. We flew from denver to london (with a stop in phily i think?) and after spending a couple days in england we took the train to dover and caught a ferry to france. from there we took a train to paris and stayed in a hostel. we went to the louve and champ elysee and had a hard time eating vegan!
Lessons & tips: if you have dietary restrictions, be sure you know enough french to be able to specify what you need! trains are the way to go, and be friendly!
