How to write more poetry

"I've written a lot, but I am not done. I think it is a continueing effort ... and it really isn't an effort, but just a form of expression that has to be satisfied when inspiration hits."
How I did it: Whenever I felt the inspiration, I opened the file where I keep all my poetry and wrote. If needed, I re-wrote and edited the poem later. sometimes I created several versions of the same poem until I was satisfied with it.
