How I did it: My friend is an experienced cuber and he taught me the algorithims and that weekend, I went online to continue my learning, On monday, I could do it with few mistakes.
That was on Feb 2009. I am now learning Frindrich and I hope to continue. Very easy as long as you stay motivated. Once you feel satisfied, move on to bigger cubes (4x4;5x5;6x6;7x7, megaminx, square one)
