How to practice Yoga
How I did it: After various attempts throughout the years, it's finally clicked. A couple years ago, I tried the dvd thing...not for me. Then I took an exercise class that threw in some yoga at the end, which was nice. Then I got a book and tried to practice on my own, but couldn't hold myself to it. Finally, I'm taking a class or two every week and practicing in between on my own and I love it. I'm really getting into a flow and feeling the poses, paying attention to my body. It's a wonderful feeling and I look foreward to feeling it for years and years.
Lessons & tips: Don't push yourself, listen to your body, and breathe. It's hard to reap the benefits if you don't do these.
Resources: Lots of reading and several wonderful teachers.
