How I did it: I moved into this place with the knowledge that it would soon be a single living situation. I had previously lived in this apartment and was offered the chance to move back in. The roommates were going in separate directions in a lopsided schedule. I was looking for a place of my own, and thus took up the slack. Now it's mine... but it's quiet now.

Lessons & tips: Make sure you can afford to save while you're living alone. Survival is not enough.

Resources: Decent pay, a willingness to accept things as they are, and a roommate moving to Boston.
