How to build a house with habitat for humanity

How I did it: I've actually done this more than once but got started in Biloxi, MS. Some friends and I decided we should donate a Saturday to Habitat for Humanity. All you have to do is show up and the people running the show will help you get started. The best part is that any skill level can make a difference. You don't have to be a carpenter to help out. Many of the people there had never driven in a nail before. It turned out to be so much fun that many of us went back the next day and then continued to help weekend after weekend while we were in Biloxi.
Lessons & tips: Go out and do it! It's a great way to meet people and have a good time not to mention it's a worthwhile cause.
