How to bloom where I'm planted by jaosehl

"Although I think this is a continual goal, I added it to get past a particular difficulty that I have accomplished, so I'm retiring it."

How I did it: I realised that I had to live in the now, and that my being happy was up to ME - no-one else. There was a quote from the movie 'The Shawshank Redemption' that kept playing over and over in my head: "I guess it comes down to a simple choice, really - get busy living, or get busy dying.' I'm nowhere near ready to give up on life and love and happiness, so I changed my attitude, and decided to give it a good shot. It made all the difference.

Taking charge is the only way to go

I admire you for the position that you decided to take on this. A lot of people would have resorted to spending the rest of their days complaining.
