How to have dinner at The French Laundry

How I did it: We were trying on and off for years to get a reservation, to no avail. Tried one day on Opentable earlier this year, to find a table for two at an early dinner seating within the month!
Lessons & tips: Keep trying! Apparently reservations are freeing up more because of the economy. You need to be flexible about the date and time, and open to whatever time slots free up. Also try weekday lunches same day, they tend to have more cancellations.
