You're awesome Russell!
Awesome enough to be Canadian, even, eh?
How I did it: I have a consultant in my office who grew up in Canada. He's a great asset to my organization.
On the way to work I heard on the radio that it was Canada Day. While we were in my office working on some PowerPoint slides I wished him a Happy Canada Day.
He paused for a minute, looked at me, and then thanked me. He said that he had forgotten all about it.
He called his wife using my speaker phone. We could tell by her voice that he had just woken her up. She sounded kind of incoherent. He wished her a Happy Canada Day.
She just said, "What?" He said it again. She said, "Are you calling from the bathroom?"
He told her that he wasn't calling from the bathroom, but was using the speaker phone in my office. She wasn't very happy.
I imagine that he spent Canada Night sleeping on the Chesterfield (couch to us Americans).
