How to patent an invention

How I did it: Invented something unique. Started an Inventor's Notebook. Designed prototype. Tested. Researched on uspto.gov and Google Patents to be sure my invention was unique. Created engineering drawings. Created patent drawings. Hired a patent attorney.
Lessons & tips: Be open-minded and don't give up.
