amazing!! its so inspiring :))
How I did it: This was one of my most highly prioritized goal for the past 5 years. Nothing and no one could stand between and my education. I always knew that if I put the work into it during undergraduate studies, I could pursue an continuing education. I went from Cosmetology School, into a Community College, transferred to a University and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Keeping focused on the long term goal and breaking it up into little tasks is a great way to get started. After all, people who have goals achieve more because they know where they are going. It's like a map that calls for and lays out actions.
Lessons & tips:
Resources: You can take a Kaplan course or study vocabularies for days at no end, a high GRE score is definitely a core requirement. However there is one important resource that you should utilize: your professors. They are full of information about programs that may fit your interest, prospective work oppurtunties, and statements of purpose.
If you have been out of schools for a few years take a few college classes with people who are known in the field.
Talk to counclers and advisors as well. Talk to your friends and your coworkers. I talked to any and everyone about going to and getting into grad school. Someone may just point you to a program, a scholarship, a study guide that will be vital to your deceission and application process.
