purplechameleon 's biggest fear is her own success
this is awesome!
I always feel better when I do at least one active thing per day—keeps things from piling up and leaves me with the feeling of accomplishment.
How I did it: Several things helped me with becoming more active:
- walking during my lunch hour, then eat my lunch at my desk while checking email
- parking farther away and walking a bit to stores
- if waiting (for someone to arrive, for the mechanic, etc.) go for a brief walk instead of sitting in the waiting room
- do yoga poses during TV commercials
- dancing at karaoke (no, I don't wanna dance *with* anyone, thanks)
- bodyboarding when the boys are surfing
There may be days when I'm sick, have low energy, or otherwise not feel up to intense activity... but overall I have achieved this goal.
Resources: - Power90 is a fun workout, for when I want to break a sweat and tone my arms
