How I did it: With it being summer, despite me being a tomboy and never showing off my legs, I thought, 'why the heck not?'. I got some 'Veet Debut' strips, I decided that it'd be cheaper and less embarrasing than going to a salon. I set some time aside, and just did it. It's true that it's just a split second of pain, once I'd done it a few times, I was pretty okay with the rest.

Lessons & tips:

• Always read the instructions if you're doing it yourself
• Don't be scared to ask advice from others who've done it.
• Exfoliate!
