How I did it: I lost 30lbs from September 2007 to December 2008 without following a specific plan or trying too hard. Then it got serious and I started calorie counting after I realised I didn't have to stay at 140lbs for the rest of my life. From then untill June 2009, I lost a further 30lbs making me 110lbs and happier and healthier than I've been in my life.
Lessons & tips: Don't give up. Seriously. If you have a bad day or a bad meal, don't think 'oh screw it, I've ruined this day/week/ whatever, I may as well eat more junk now' because that's not true. If you eat one unhealthy thing it doesn't ruin your day. You can be healthy for the rest of the day and you'll feel a ton better.
