How I did it: We had curbside recycling in California, but once we moved to Suck-town, I mean Utah, there was no recycling here. So we found a place to bring all our recyclables, except glass. We still can't recycle glass.
Lessons & tips: If you don't have curbside call around, usually there's somewhere nearby.
