How to drink more water
How I did it: I started drinking water with meals instead of other drinks. Then I started taking my vitamins and supplements one at a time with 4-6 oz each. Then I decided to drink 2 cups of water for every cup of coffee I have in the morning... which brings my coffee down to one cup or less now!
I have a water filter and refill my own bottles, I keep one half full in the freezer and one in the car. I take one to work. If I happen to forget, I have the one from the car. I just make sure I always have access to a bottle of water now. It took me about 3 months to really get into the habit of having water all the time, but now I drink 3 liters on an average day!
Lessons & tips: If you are not a big fan of water already, start slow, switch out one other type of drink each week or so until water is your predominant beverage.
Keep water around you, you will drink it out of habit.
Resources: I bought a water filter for the spigot, and a few reusable plastic bottles.
