How to ride my bike more
How I did it: I injured my back a bunch of years back - lost a battle with a boulder when I was mountain biking, and crashed into a tree with my trunk. This caused a cascade of adaptation, shortening of structures, weakness, tenderness, etc, and an associated reduction in activity levels.
I learned about what was keeping my back painful and tackled it head on. For me the biggest part was my emotional state, and being truly encouraged to do what I used to do was so important.
Lessons & tips: Read "Healing back pain", this really helped me get the proper view, which was SO important. Old book, important book. Referred to me by a friend who also conquered his back pain. A godsend.
Resources: My osteopaths were life savers - they helped release the structures that were limiting me, enabling me to kick in a positive-feedback loop of healing+strengthening+stretching which finally got me back to where I was.
