GillyFinn is feeling "it"-ish.
Congratulations and I applaud your hard work. I also echo the “finally free” sentiment! It took me a few years to stop cutting and I took many of the same steps you did.
It is good to be free!
How I did it: I told myself I had to do this once & for all. No looking back this time, no more relapses. It was hard, but it was worth it. It took me a long time to complete this goal, I went through many relapses. At times I wasn't sure if I could make it though, to finally be free of my obsession. I made it though, now I'm free of the ties that cutting had on me for so many years. Just remember that there are so many people out there routing for you!
Lessons & tips: Remember that it's worth it. Give yourself an alternative outlet, write; read; listen to music; anything that will release your stress.
Resources: My friends, my family, the kindness of strangers I met online dealing with the same thing, & my books - reading is my escape.
