How to sleep less
How I did it: I just started setting my alarm. Ideally you should have the same/a similar wake up and bed time every day. I usually tried to go to sleep at midnight and wake up at 7. It's important to figure out how much sleep you actually need- I only need 7 to 7 and a half hours, but some people do need a little more. Try cutting back your sleep time until you wake up and you feel like it is physically possible to get out of bed. If you wake up and you're blurry eyed and it takes you 15 minutes to remember where you are, you are sleeping too much or too little.
Lessons & tips: Don't get an alarm clock that is screechy and annoying to wake up to. That will start off your day in a bad way. Also be flexible- some weekends, I go out for a little bit and I don't go to sleep at mignight. And I might get more than 7 hours of sleep. There are days when it's OK to sleep in and relax a little. But until you have everything figured out, try to keep to a schedule.
Resources: Alarm clock that had a low buzzing instead of a high pitched annoying shriek.
