How I did it: I'm a member of a financial services company. So when I found out about their investment services, I was intrigued. I did my homework and decided to go ahead.
I am starting off conservatively - just a couple of shares of stock, one in one company, one in another. I'll go from there, knowing that this is a long-term deal.
Lessons & tips: Focus on the long-term! DO NOT be shaken by the market's daily ups and downs.
