your attitude towards work reminds me of me when i’m at work and i see people getting twice my salary for doing less than me and making a mess of it i get angry. but as u said prove you deserve a chance so i work twice as hard to prove that i could that promotion and move on from where i am.

How I did it: I've worked at my current company for two and a half years. In my first year they brought someone from outside in to be in a position that could have gone to me. It lit a fire under me. I set out to prove that I was worth taking a chance on. And when the new girl started messing up really bad I would get so mad and I would say I could do my job and her job and do it better. Then came the day where I needed to put my money where my mouth was, because she decided to move to another state. So here came my big chance. I've been in my new position and I am still doing my old one for about two months now, and my boss has already came in and told me how great of a job I'm doing.
Lessons & tips: Work hard and prove you deserve a chance to move up.
Resources: Staying focused. Every day I come in and think about what I didn't do so well the day before and try to do better.
