How I did it: I saved up the money, went first to the eye doctor and got a checkup. Next (about 5 months later) I went to an eyeglass shop, picked out a pair of frames that were ok, gave them my prescription and ordered lenses to be put in them. Why I waited so long is a bit of a mystery to me now, but I can see again.
