How I did it: I took my cube with me wherever I went and practiced during whatever spare moments I had. Eventually the different algorithms became second nature and I didn't have to pay attention to my hand movements, so I was able to look farther ahead and plan my next move. Now I'm trying to see how fast I can complete the cube, 2 or 3 minutes would be a good goal!
