How I did it: Getting married definitely helped. I got a lot of money from relatives as well as a lot of things that you need in a house like dishes, tupperware, cookbooks, furniture, kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, and other odds and ends. There are a lot of things that you don't even realize you need until you get out on your own and don't have it. I found an affordable apartment by where my husband works and we are doing very well. We are cooking a lot, staying active and social, and feeling great!
