How to sing karaoke
How I did it: I got drunk and impulsive. I was at a bar and there were only about 8 people present, most of them my friends. So I figured it was the best time to do it. The safest time. My friends lied to me and told me I did good. But I didn't. I stood up against a wall and fidgeted the whole time. I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be, just mainly more shocked by how terrible I sounded. I really thought I could sing Fiona Apple's "Limp" better than I did. Showers work wonders for your voice I guess. But not microphones.
Lessons & tips: If you're not a good singer, don't bother. It's not liberating at all to hear your voice in reality. At least when you sing along with music you have the singer to lead you. when you sing alone, the truth comes out, and you realize you don't sound as good as you might have thought you could.
Resources: Alcohol.
