How I did it: I work in hairdressers and I just copied the boring conversation starters that everyone else used (Are you doing anything today, Are you going on holiday etc) and it mostly started some pretty interesting conversations.

Lessons & tips: Remember that no one will laugh at you and of course that most people will welcome some conversation!
