How to get Aurora's hip and elbow scores
How I did it: Booked her in for her vet appointment where she got her eyes checked (great!) and got the hips and elbows scanned. UNFORTUNATELY the results aren't great. Her Elbows are good - 1 but her hips are 16 :( It's not terrible but a 0 is the best possible result so it's not great.
It's a bit annoying because I didn't think about how the hips deterate with age and if I had have got her tested at 1yr the results would have been a lot better so better to breed with.
Will still breed her but going to make sure it's with a male with a very low hip score.
Lessons & tips: Get your dog done as soon as they're old enough and then you know their actual hip setting not what it will be once they get older and degrade a bit (as everyone does).
Resources: Vet - Shitty one out past the uni, won't be going there again! Took over a month to get my test results back! And even then I got a shitty copy of a faxed scribbled form, nothing professional.
