How to act on stage
How I did it: Eight long and sometimes boring weeks of rehearsing, two nights a week. 10 performances, one full of raucous friends. Kept a relatively low profile, and bit my tongue many times when the more "serious" backstage types acted as the fun police.
Lessons & tips: Be prepared for a major time commitment - but well worth it.
Resources: Supportive friends. Also helped having a couple of experienced actors in the cast, including one 77-year-old who had been acting 60 years.
