How I did it: We found each other again after 10 long miserable years for both of us.  We had been together and then drifted apart and neither of us put much effort into the relationship the first time.  We were too young and too stupid to realize what we had.

Lessons & tips: Don't ever take it for granted when you have something as special as this.  We both didn't realize what we had when we had it the first time.
