How to learn to drive a 5 speed

How I did it: In 2007, I test drove a 2006 Cobalt SS that was a 5 speed. I wanted it so bad I could taste it. The guy let me try to drive it but taking off in first gear just really wasn't easy. I came home that night and drove my brother's truck up and down the road until I pretty well had it. Went back and bought the car the next day!
Lessons & tips: Practice. It's really not that hard once you really get a feel for it, but every car's different.
Resources: The car made it all happen. All you need is a little motivation.
