How I did it: I lost a permanent internet connection, and as a result I couldn't physically check myspace every second of the day. Going completely cold turkey meant that when I did get access to the internet again.. everyone and everything had moved on.. I'd not had any profile visitors for 4months.. so I just clicked all the way through the 'are you sure you want to delete your account?' bits and I'm off it for good!
Lessons & tips: I think going cold turkey from the internet for 6 months, for me, was the only way I could have gotten off Myspace.. if you can do it, great.. it's completely liberating not having internet access 24/7. And.. it's easier than you might think.
