How to contribute to wikipedia

How I did it:
Included a link to an evening's contributions so you can see the progression.
- Start small, like adding an extra external reference to a page
- Copy paste good wiki formatting to clean up broken links and weaker pages with similar content
- Defending the honor of something you care about... I help organize an annual conference. My little brother had started a wiki stub for it as part of a class project. Upon returning to the stub, I noticed it had been flagged for "notability." I proceeded to dump additional news blurbs and internal links into the article to shore up its "notability"... Now I need to establish an account so I can watch those edits like a hawk! -_-
