VeeShay is figuring it out
Back on my radar
I am moving back to Jersy.
How I did it: Since I am working on starting my own business and since I want to put new goals on my page, I have to get this one off. I don't want to remove the goal because I want to see the goals I have been working on. I just need to move it.
Anyone who wants to move to New York or work in New York should definitely do it! I don't regret working there at all. I never wanted to live in the city so I lived in New Jersey and commuted each day. I actually liked my commute because I could relax on the bus berfore arriving at work. And I loved going to the city every day, rain or shine, because it was a part of my dream. I didn't find a great company to work for, though. New York is tough and the people challenge you in ways you cannot imagine. Making good friends was not easy, but I did eventually find a few good ones at one of my work places.
Lessons & tips: Unless you are applying for an internship, you need a New York, New Jersey or Connecticut address on your resume and cover letter. Otherswise, you greatly reduce your chances of getting a call back. When you do get a call, you have to get there quickly or you will miss your opportunity. Sometimes you can put the interview off for a week or so, but sometimes they want you to come in the next day.
