How to get married
How I did it: My boyfriend proposed to me after 3 years of dating. We took a year and a half to plan the wedding. There were some ups and downs, but it definitely was a worthwhile experience. The end result was completely "us". I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. I got married in a beautiful rose garden overlooking Lake Superior. The reception was wonderful and I have countless memories that I will carry with me forever. My new husband is my best friend and I love him with all my heart. I am so excited to start a brand new chapter of my life with him. :) I definitely recommend this goal!
Lessons & tips: Get help from family and friends. You can't plan a wedding on your own. Cut costs on things that don't matter to you as much and splurge on the things that do. Use family members as much as possible---if you have a relative that does flowers, bakes cakes, is a photographer, etc. then use those resources!
Resources: I went to www.theknot.com a lot! They have a checklist on there that is very helpful! The best resource though is using your family and friends for love and support, and delegating some responsibilities to them. Don't let yourself get too overwhelmed early on.
