How to marry a musician
How I did it: I met my husband while I was bartending. It was a young, new band and I was excited to have a band playing where all the musicians werent in thier fifties! He was cute, blonde curly hair, blue eyes and dimples that do not go away. He was sweet and nine years younger, so I sent him away with an email address. A few weeks later they came back and I decided to take a chance. I asked him out.
It became so serious so fast, I loved his guitar playing and he proposed to me at one of his gigs (less than a year together). We soon found ourselves pregnant. His first, my third. I had two daughters by a previous marriage.
Things went crazy after that. He couldn't decide if he wanted to be taken or free. We did get married and had another daughter and things began to calm down but only after he had given up on the band thing.
But now two years later, music is back and so is the uncertainty. His mood swings, anger, lying and resentment that he cant run free like his band mates is taking a toll on our family. I love the music but it cant be first priority and he hates that. So here I am alone most nights with four girls. It is hard to trust a musician.
